WHAT THE

ATHLETES SAY

“Working with Jack and Cal at Aqua Strength Performance has helped me significantly improve my strength and endurance, allowing me to compete at the next level. As a Division 1 swimmer, the training I received has been instrumental in maintaining my performance throughout the season. I consistently incorporate the principles and techniques I learned with ASP to stay strong and resilient. When I’m home for breaks, I always look forward to training at Aqua Strength, not only because they are incredibly knowledgeable but also because they truly care about each athlete’s wellbeing and success.”

Stephanie Iannaccone - Harvard Women’s Swimming

“I started working out with Jack when I was a scrawny 14 year old. Within my first few sessions I felt more comfortable in the water.I noticed a huge difference in my mobility. As I kept working over the years my strength increased exponentially. I became quicker and more athletic. Five years later I went from some scrawny kid to a Division 1 collegiate water polo athlete, and I use the things I learned with Aqua Strength on a daily basis.”

Dominic Brown - UC Santa Barbara Men’s Water Polo

“If you want to elevate your game to the next level, Aqua Strength Athletes is the program for you. For me, it’s become more than just a structured program led by two amazing coaches. I’ve been able to put on muscle mass while simultaneously improving my mobility, which has benefited my water polo game tremendously. Since starting with Aqua Strength, whenever I enter a gym I feel extremely comfortable and in tune with my body. With the unrelenting support of ASP I’ve been able to achieve some of my athletic aspirations; playing for the Youth National Team and Stanford University.”

Ben Forer - Stanford Men’s Water Polo

“Aqua Strength Performance helped immensely with rebuilding strength from an injury that inhibited me from competing for about a year. Jack and Cal’s knowledge about injuries, nutrition, rehab/prehab, strength, and mobility training helped me get back to a better version of myself physically - and equally important, mentally. Aqua Strength provides a positive and challenging environment to get better, all under the guidance of the Brown brothers. I cannot recommend Aqua Strength enough, it’s a great program and provides the support needed to feel better.”

Miranda Stevenson - UC Santa Barbara Women’s Swimming

“Working with Aqua Strength and Jack Brown has been an incredible experience! His online training team is not only effective but also super easy to follow. Each exercise comes with clear videos that make it easy to understand the movements and maintain proper form. I love how the sessions are structured, making it simple to stay consistent and push myself. I genuinely look forward to every workout, and I’ve seen my strength improve week by week and substantially over the course of the past year. The best part is being able to track my progress - it’s so motivating to see the gains! I’m really excited to keep growing stronger with Jack’s guidance.”

Matthew M. - Coach, Father, Business Owner, Masters Athlete

“When I started with Aqua Strength Performance I had never lifted before. I was super nervous about getting hurt and the stigma surrounding lifting for female athletes. I quickly learned that when working with Jack you’re lifting safe and with purpose which limits any chance of injury. I’ve learned that lifting is a crucial part of keeping my body healthy as well. The program helped me improve my 100 yard free time, my shot speed, and improved my balance tremendously. It also helped me manage some overuse injuries that I had in my knees and shoulders. The most important part for me though was that Aqua Strength Performance prepared me for college lifting at UCLA. I never feel lost or behind in the weight room even though I’m only a freshman.”

Maile Turner - UCLA Women’s Water Polo

“Since I started training with Aqua Strength 2 years ago, my strength, mobility, and knowledge of my own body has skyrocketed. More importantly, Jack and the Aqua Strength program have instilled in me a sense of maturity and character traits such as self awareness and patience that separate me from other athletes. These traits are essential to learn on the journey to become a successful Division 1 athlete.”

Breydon Congo - De La Salle High Water Polo, USC Water Polo Commit

“Training with Aqua Strength Performance was one of the best decisions I made during my career. When I decided to train independently for the US Olympic Swimming Trials, I knew that Jack would be the guy to call in order to help with my strength and conditioning program. While I was training remotely, Jack was very communicative and collaborative with my program in order to make sure I was building strength while continuing to swim fast. When I retired from swimming after the Olympic Trials, I returned to the sport to join the Swimming & Diving coaching staff at Fordham University, where our team competes at the Division 1 level. Since I began coaching, I have been able to translate the life lessons and training approach that I learned while working with Aqua Strength & Jack.”

Harry Homans - Assistant Coach Fordham University Swimming, USC Swim Alum

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?

The program consists of five training days per week. Three of the days are strength based, and focused on full body training. These days include a warm up, power development, primary strength movements, accessory movements to build resilience and decrease risk of injury, and ISO work to keep the body fresh and healthy. Aqua Strength Athletes is housed on the TrainHeroic app which allows athletes to watch demo videos, track all their progress, and communicate directly with Head Coach Jack as well as the rest of the team.

Included in the program:

-Full body mobility & movement prep: Warm ups focused on mobilizing the entire body, with an emphasis on the hips and shoulders which are two extremely important areas for aquatic athletes to prioritize.

- Speed & power development: Max effort sprints, accelerations, plyometrics, and max effort jumps to build explosiveness.

-Strength training: Emphasizing compound movements such as squats, RDLs, lunges, deadlifts, and various upper body pressing and pulling movements.

-Accessory movements: Complement the primary strength movements and address areas of weakness that often get overlooked or forgotten.

-Isometric exercises: Improve resilience, tissue quality, reduce injury risk, and promote recovery

-Access to Head Coach Jack Brown & the Aqua Strength Community: Message board where you can speak with Jack and the Aqua Strength Athletes team directly. Jack replies frequently, and other members of the team can share input with each other and hold each other accountable. When it comes to training, having a group makes all the difference.
